SCRD Directors had a conference call with staff from the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resources Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) on Monday, Feb. 25, but what they wanted to tell us about was their “Modernized Land Use Planning” process, not what’s happening here.
There is indeed a land use planning process underway between the province and the Sechelt Nation, but that doesn’t apply to Area E, which is in Squamish territory.
Staff told the board that BC Logging Sales has put the auction of the block on hold, pending a decision from Minister Donaldson.
