A similar scenario is playing out with stormwater management, except that responsibility for managing it hasn’t been downloaded to regional districts; instead the province is simply ignoring the problem. Logging and development continue while rural roads have not been properly maintained for decades and are crumbling. And no preparations are being made for climate change.
